Synopsis

The Hunter becomes the hunted in the origin story of this extraordinary human

Sergei Nikolaevich Kravinoff is an immigrant from Russia, separated from his home country. Neither alien nor superhero, Sergei becomes Kraven the Hunter through intense conviction and a desire to  protect the natural world. But there are forces that seek to destroy him.  His story brings him face-to-face with his shape-shifting brother  Chameleon and he crosses paths with Calypso, the voodoo priestess, and his love interest throughout his difficult journey. Evading assassination and being hunted himself, the origin story of Kraven the Hunter is full of the unexpected.

This Spider-Man villain is brought to life by the actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Kraven the Hunter is an upcoming superhero film produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel. The movie is distributed by Sony Pictures and is the fourth film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) that also includes outings for other Spider-Man villains such as Venom and Morbius.

The movie is directed by J.C. Chandor, a filmmaker known for the heist movie Triple Frontier. Chandor will be bringing the same high-stakes action to the movie based on a screenplay written by Richard Wenk, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum. 

Aaron Taylor-Johnson signed on to depict Kraven the Hunter in a multi-picture deal. Taylor-Johnson expressed excitement about playing Kraven citing the character's human nature. Fred Hechinger is cast as Chameleon, the half-brother of Kraven. Ariana DeBose portrays Calypso, his love interest and a voodoo priestess. Christopher Abbott is cast as Foreigner and Hollywood mainstay Russell Crowe is set for a role. Alessandro Nivola is cast as Rhino, an infamous villain from the Spider-man universe.
