A woman in 19th-century Germany is being haunted by an ancient force that she does not understand. Enamored with her beauty, the Transylvanian vampire, Count Orlok, otherwise known as Nosferatu, is obsessed and tracks her every move. As his pursuit grows more intense, it becomes clear that her fate is no longer only in her own hands.
Nosferatu is a horror movie based on the 1922 movie of the same name. Nosferatu is a partial adaptation of the book Dracula by Bram Stoker. The movie is directed and written by Robert Eggers who is known for movies such as The Witch, The Lighthouse, and The Northman. He is joined by cinematographer Jarin Blaschke who has been a frequent collaborator of the director. Nosferatu is produced by Regency Enterprises, Studio 8, and 1492 Pictures.
Nosferatu features Bill Skarsgard in the titular role of Nosferatu, also known in the movie as Count Orlok. Skarsgard has starred as the character Pennywise in It and It Chapter Two. He is joined by Nicholas Hoult who plays Thomas Hutter and Lily-Rose Depp who stars as Ellen Hutter. Nosferatu marks the second Dracula adaptation that Nicholas Hoult has starred in since featuring in the movie Renfield. Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Emma Corrin, Simon McBurney, and Ralph Ineson also star in the movie. Having starred in previous Robert Eggers movies, iconic actor Willem Dafoe plays Professor Albin Eberhart Von Franz.
