It’s also received a nomination in every top category like Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Screenplay, and the film’s stars - Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert DeNiro, and Lily Gladstone - all received nominations for their performances. Other movies that received multiple nominations include the biopics Nyad and Maestro, and the dark comedy Poor Things – Emma Stone actually has two Best Actress nominations at the Globes this year, being nominated for both her film Poor Things and her Showtime series The Curse.

There were also a few surprise nominations this year, with Disney’s Wish earning a Best Animated Motion Picture nomination despite its lukewarm box office earnings, and Timothee Chalamet landing a Best Actor nom for Wonka.

In total, there were 28 movies nominated in the major categories this year, spanning everything from blockbuster hits to indie films, and quite a few movies that are streaming on Netflix.
