DC Movies in Order: A Streaming Guide to All 15 DCEU Movies

Updated on

The DCEU gave us Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and live action movie adaptations of many iconic DC storylines for the first time. In this guide, you can find where to watch DC movies in order online on streaming services in the United States. This includes the latest ways to watch all the DC movies on Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+. You can also use JustWatch's guide to find out where to watch each DC movies in order for free.

How many movies are in the DCEU?

The shared DC universe, better known as the DCEU (DC Extended Universe), started shortly after the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2013 with the release of Man of Steel. It includes 15 movies (and 1 TV show) in total and the saga has now officially ended, but Zack Snyder’s work on the DCEU has led fans to call for the restoration of the SnyderVerse to this day. These are the same fans who also launched a successful campaign for Warner Bros. to release Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

How to watch DC movies in chronological order

When watching all the DCEU films, you can either watch them in chronological or release order. This is because Wonder Woman's standalone movies take place decades before she unites with the likes of Batman and Superman. If you want to watch them chronologically, here's how:

  • Wonder Woman
  • Wonder Woman 1984
  • Man of Steel
  • The Flash
  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • Suicide Squad
  • Justice League / Zack Snyder’s Justice League
  • Aquaman
  • Shazam!
  • Birds of Prey
  • The Suicide Squad
  • Peacemaker
  • Black Adam
  • Shazam: Fury of the Gods
  • Blue Beetle
  • Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom

How to watch DC movies in release order

However, some fans still prefer to watch DC movies in release order. This is because connectivity was one of the significant struggles of the DC shared universe. While the early films like Man of Steel, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League are closely related, the connections trailed off towards the end of the DCEU. Later films like Shazam!, Aquaman, and Birds of Prey function largely as standalone films even if they technically exist within the same shared universe. Below is a complete list of the DCEU movies in release order and where to watch them online.
