Twisters is an upcoming disaster movie produced by Universal Pictures, Warner Bros. Pictures, Amblin Entertainment, and The Kennedy/Marshall Company. The movie is considered a sequel to the 1996 original movie Twister. It is directed by Lee Isaac Chung, a filmmaker known for the movies Minari and Abigail Harm. Twisters is written by Mark L. Smith, a screenwriter who has worked on movies such as The Revenant, The Midnight Sky, Vacancy, and The Hole.
Twister features an ensemble cast led by Daisy Edgar-Jones, best known for her performances in Where the Crawdads Sing and Normal People. Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell also stars alongside Anthony Ramos, who has starred in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and Dumb Money. David Corenswet, Daryl McCormack, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, Harry Hadden-Paton, Sasha Lane, Kiernan Shipka, Nik Dodani, Tunde Adebimpe, and Katy O’Brian all feature in the cast.
