Synopsis
Peter Pan & Wendy take flight with a live action Disney adaptation
When Peter Pan flies into the house of Wendy Darling, trying to pin down his lost shadow, the mishap marks the beginning of an otherworldly adventure. Peter and Wendy, alongside her brothers Michael and John Darling, travel to Neverland to protect the Lost Boys and Girls of the mythic island. Meanwhile, the threat of Captain Hook looms large throughout Neverland. Intent on revenge for having been bested by Pan in their last meeting, the pirate captain of the Jolly Roger has a violent vendetta. Between the pirates, fairies, and the Native peoples of the land, Peter Pan and Wendy undertake a timeless journey of friendship, loyalty, and fighting for what you believe in.

What to know
Director David Lowrey reimagines Peter Pan for a new generation
Peter Pan and Wendy is a fantasy adventure film based on the original animated 1954 movie, Peter Pan. The movie is directed by David Lowrey who began working on the project in 2016, after his hugely successful work with the Disney title Pete's Dragon, which he adapted into a live-action movie. Lowrey returns to the same creative team, with Toby Halbrooks on board as screenwriter; James Whitaker as producer and Bojan Bazelli as cinematographer. Daniel Hart, a classically trained violinist and composer, provides the score.
The titular characters are played by Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson. Molony, a relatively unknown young British actor, is making his feature film debut as Peter Pan – the boy who wouldn’t grow up. Playing opposite him is Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling; daughter of film director Paul W.S. Anderson and actress, model, and singer Mila Jovovich. Ever made her onscreen debut in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and has gone on to play in the Black Widow. Bringing a little extra stardust to the cast is Jude Law as Captain Hook. The British actor is a well-decorated addition to the cast and set to continue a trend of taking on villainous roles. He’ll be aided in his villainy by comedian, Jim Gaffigan, who is portraying the hapless Mr. Smee. Yara Shahidi is playing the iconic role of Tinker Bell, the mischievous but ultimately moral fairy who is also Peter Pan’s best friend. Molly Parker, Alyssa Wapanatahk, and Alan Tudyk round out the cast for the journey to Neverland.
