Synopsis
Grey Alys is a spellbinding and infamous sorceress. Hired by the Queen, Lady Melange, to obtain the secret of shapeshifting, the wild witch embarks on a journey alongside her wayfaring companion, the drifter, Boyce. Journeying to the Lost Lands, the pair is set on a task that will see them face the threats of unknowable darkness; be they human, demon, or any incarnation of evil. This expedition takes the duo through a desolate landscape to uncover mysterious magic. Both Boyce and Grey Alys hold secrets beneath a calm exterior and the task they are set upon will change them and their benefactor in the most unexpected ways.

Anderson is known for directing six films based on the video game series Resident Evil as well as Mortal Kombat (1995) and Monster Hunter (2020). The screenplay is written by Paul W.S. Anderson, Constantin Werner, and George R.R. Martin. Werner is also a producer on the movie after having tried to get the movie made for many years. The film stars heavyweight acting talent in the leading roles. Dave Bautista plays the drifter Boyce, while Milla Jovovich stars as the sorceress Gray Alys.
