A beautiful, slow-burn film that reflects on life and death
The Room Next Door is perfect for viewers who loved the beautiful meandering style of Nomadland or were touched by the dying with dignity movies Suncoast and The Sea Inside. While peppered with dark humor, The Room Next Door is largely a slow-burn story about friendship and mortality. Tilda Swinton shines as Martha, a woman determined to die on her own terms, while Julianne Moore complements her performance as the compassionate Ingrid. The sometimes heavy film may be difficult for those close to the subject matter, but it is perfect for those seeking a deeply moving story that reflects on life and death.
