Synopsis

The Exorcist: Believer brings Chris MacNeil back to help a defenseless father save two young girls

Victor Fielding is a father desperate for help. Both his daughter, Angela, and her friend Katherine are suffering from the sickness of demonic possession. After being lost in the woods for three days, the girls returned, acting strangely and without any recollection of what happened to them. To defeat the demon and bring them both back, Victor seeks the help of the only person who can truly understand what is happening, Chris MacNeil.

The Exorcist: Believer is a supernatural horror movie set within The Exorcist franchise. The movie serves as a direct sequel to The Exorcist which was first released in 1973. The movie is directed by David Gordon Green, best known for the movie Halloween and subsequent sequels including Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. He has also directed movies such as Pineapple Express and Stronger. Green is responsible for the screenplay alongside co-writer Peter Sattler. The Exorcist: Believer is produced by Morgan Creek Entertainment and Blumhouse Productions with legendary horror producer Jason Blum personally on board.

After starring in movies such as Murder on the Orient Express and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Leslie Odom Jr. takes the role of Victor Fielding in the movie. He is joined by Lidya Jewett who plays Angela Fielding and Olivia Marcum who stars as Katherine. Ellen Burstyn reprises her role as Chris MacNeil while Jennifer Nettles also stars in a major role.
