Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 brings back the titular hero to face his long-time adversary Wilson Fisk. Fisk, also known as Kingpin, is one of the most chilling and violent rivals that Daredevil has ever faced. In Born Again Season 1, Kingpin remerges as the main menace for the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. Kingpin is a relentless force of violent rage seeking revenge and retaliation against Daredevil. Blinded since he was a young boy, the vigilante must rely on his heightened senses to fight the criminal element everywhere to see in New York City. The stoic superhero must rely on the help of the few people that he trusts to defeat the threat of Kingpin.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is an upcoming superhero television series produced for Disney+ by Marvel Studios. As a standalone series, it is the eleventh installment of Phase Five of the MCU. Matt Corman and Chris Ord are credited as executive producers of the show. Creator of The Punisher, Dario Scardapane is the showrunner of the series while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are directing the show.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 is a revival of the Netflix show Daredevil, created by Drew Godard, that ran for three seasons. It contains the same main cast members and continues their story. Originally, the show was considered a reboot but since a change of the showrunners and creators of the series it has been touted as a revival.
Born Again Season 1 has an unprecedented 18 episodes, split into nine episode halves. All three seasons of the original Daredevil TV show had 13 episodes each.
Having surprised fans with some small cameo appearances, Charlie Cox is finally back in the role of Daredevil/Matt Murdock. The fan-favorite provides strong continuity with the previous seasons alongside the infamous villain dogging his every step. Wilson Fisk/Kingpin is played once again by the inimitable Vincent D’Onofrio, who mastered the cool rage of this New York City crime boss over three seasons. The stage is set for them to continue their feud that may even begin as early as their slated appearances in the Marvel television series Echo, a spinoff from Hawkeye. Karen and Foggy are played by returning cast members Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson. Joe Bernthal is confirmed to be playing Frank Castle in Season 1 while Sandrine Holt is cast as Vanessa Fisk. Margarita Levieva, Arty Froushan, Sandrine Holt, Clark Johnson, Michael Gandolfini and Nikki M. James make up the expanded cast.
