Synopsis

Set 50 years before the original, Pet Sematary: Bloodlines tells the story of a young Jud Crandall

Set in 1969, a young Jud Crandall wants to leave his hometown of Ludlow and be free. But an ancient evil has taken root in the town. As he investigates it, Jud learns of a secret evil that is connected to his family. With his childhood friends in tow, Jud must face the sinister truth of what lies buried in the cemetery.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is a supernatural horror movie. It is based on the novel Pet Sematary by writer Stephen King. The movie is directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer in her directorial debut. She co-writes the movie alongside Jeff Buhler who wrote the original Pet Sematary movie. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is a prequel to the 2019 movie Pet Sematary. It is produced by Paramount Players and Di Bonaventura Pictures for Paramount+.

The movie features Jackson White starring as a young Jud Crandall. He stars alongside Forrest Goodluck in the role of Manny. Jack Mulhern and Henry Thomas play Timmy and Dan. Natalie Alyn Lind stars as Norma while Isabella Star LaBlanc plays Donna. The cast also includes Samantha Mathis, Pam Grier, and David Duchovny. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines was released on Paramount+ on October 6, 2023.
