A Crazy movie with a crazier backstory
Jason Goes to Hell is such a crazy movie. I was brought in to work on it while I was writing a movie called My Boyfriend’s Back for Sean Cunningham and was still learning how to write. It was also the first movie that Adam Marcus directed. We were both about 23 years old and drove out to LA together in a U-Haul from New York. When I took over that script, I thought of it more as a comedy - and I knew it could be funnier. I inherited the body jumping concept and tried to bring the character of Jason back into it. It was a wild time and I enjoyed working on it. I have a lot of fond memories of it. I’m also in it! I play the assistant coroner who gets his head shoved through the grate!
