Creed IV is an upcoming sports-drama movie produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures. It is the direct sequel to 2023's Creed III and fourth entry in the Creed series following the original entry in 2015 and Creed II in 2018. Creed IV is directed by Michael B. Jordan.

What is the Creed series about?

The Creed series is a spin-off from the original Rocky franchise which began in 1976 and starred Sylvester Stallone. Creed IV marks the tenth entry in the overall Rocky series. Ryan Coogler directed the first Creed movie while Steven Caple Jr. directed the sequel. Lead star Michael B. Jordan made his directorial debut with Creed III which went on to become the highest-grossing entry, earning $275 million. The Creed series initially focused on Adonis Creed's boxing journey. Adonis is Rocky Balboa's protégé and the son of Apollo Creed, who was a close friend of Rocky's before tragically dying in Rocky IV. Future films in the franchise delve into Adonis' experiences as a boxer and his aspiration to balance his career with being a family man.

Michael B. Jordan returns as Adonis Creed in Creed IV. He is joined by Tessa Thompson as musician Bianca Taylor-Creed. Mila Davis-Kent returns to star as Amara Creed. Wood Harris stars as trainer Tony Evers.

Is Sylvester Stallone in Creed IV?

After a fallout with movie producer Irwin Winkler, Stallone opted not to star in Creed III. He has not ruled out featuring in future instalments of the franchise although his appearance is contingent on the absence of producer Irwin Winkler. Stallone also publicly stated that the third movie was too dark in tone for his taste, meaning a Creed IV movie with Sylvester Stallone could be a stylistic departure from the last film in the franchise.
