Corsage is an Austrian historical film about Empress Elisabeth of Austria. For a long time, Elisabeth obsessed over her appearance due to the harsh beauty standards of her time, developing an eating disorder that saw her measure her waist every day. The empress would eventually rebell against her public image and ultimately fought the strict limitations of what it meant to be a woman in power.
Corsage stars Vicky Krieps, Florian Teichtmeister, Manuel Rubey, and Katharina Lorenz. The film is written and directed by Austrian filmmaker Marie Kreutzer.
