Putting his lips to the reed every day and practicing as much as he can, the once-lost teenager is now set on a dedicated path to free expression and musical acclaim. Blue Giant is an anime movie directed by Yuzuru Tachikawa who is known for his previous works Mob Psycho 100, Death Parade, and Deca-Dence. The Japanese animation studio, NUT will be producing the work, marking their second collaboration with the director. Blue Giant is based on the award-winning manga of the same name which ran from 2013-2016. The screenplay is written by NUMBER 8 in collaboration with Shin’ichi Ishizuka, the original creator. The pair had previously worked successfully together to produce and edit the much-loved manga and now bring the movie to life. TOHO animation will be distributing the film. Blue Giant was released in select theaters on October 8th, 2023.
