Synopsis
Kate Cooper reluctantly returns to the field in order to test a new weather alert system
After a tragic up close encounter with a tornado, Kate Cooper finds herself reluctantly accepting her friend Javi's invitation to test a revolutionary new weather alert system. Back in the field, she find an unlikely teammate in the reckless storm chaser Tyler Owens. As the storm season heats up, they come up against the deadliest conversion of multiple weather events seen over Oklahoma.

What is Twisters about?
Twisters is a disaster film produced by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. The film is a sequel to 1996’s Twister starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, and follows the story of two new protagonists, Kate Cooper and Typer Owens, as they storms to test a new weather alert system. Twisters is directed by Lee Isaac Chung, whose previous works include the Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated Minari, Munyurangabo, and an episode in the third season of The Mandalorian. The screenplay is written by Mark L Smith, who is known for co-writing The Revenant.

Twisters stars Normal People star Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Cooper. She is joined in the leading cast by Glen Powell, who plays storm chaser Tyler Owens, and Anthony Ramos as Kate's friend Javi. Other cast members include Daryl McCormack, Brandon Perea, Maura Tierney, David Corenswet, Sasha Lane, and Kiernan Shipka, amongst others.
