Kenneth Branagh teams up with Michelle Yeoh to bring this lesser-known Hercule Poirot investigation to life
A Haunting in Venice is a supernatural thriller movie based on the book Halloween Party by Agatha Christie. The film is a sequel to Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile. The creative duo behind the previous films in the series returns to write and direct. Michael Green is a screenwriter and producer known for his work on Logan, Alien: Covenant, and others. In the director’s chair is the formidable Kenneth Branagh who continues to direct and star in the Poirot franchise as the French detective Hercule Poirot. Icelandic composer Hildur Gudnadottir produces the score for the movie, replacing Patrick Doyle who worked on both previous films in the series.
While Kenneth Branagh leads the cast for A Haunting in Venice, he is joined by Academy Award-winning Michelle Yeoh, who plays Joyce Reynolds. Kyle Allen stars as Maxime Gerard. Camille Cottin takes on the role of Olga Seminoff. Comedian Tina Fey takes on the role of Ariadne Oliver while Irish actor Jude Hill play’s Leopold Ferrier. Jamie Dornan, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, and Riccardo Scamarcio make up the expanded cast. A Haunting in Venice was released in cinemas on September 15th, 2023.
