Dead Reckoning is the first film in a two-part farewell to the Mission: Impossible series
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is the seventh instalment in the action thriller Mission Impossible franchise produced by Skydance Media and Paramount Pictures. Dead Reckoning is the first film in a two-part finale for the series. Christopher McQuarrie, who directed the last two Mission Impossible films (Fallout and Rogue Nation), returns to write, direct, and produce alongside star actor Tom Cruise.
Tom Cruise once again returns as the indestructible IMF agent and ops leader Ethan Hunt. Ving Rhames returns as Ethan’s friend and colleague Luther Stickell, along with Simon Pegg as fellow IMF agent Benji Dunn, and former M16 agent Ilsa Faust, played by Rebecca Ferguson. Newcomers to the franchise include Hayley Atwell as the mysterious Grace, Shea Whigham as Jasper Briggs, and Esai Morales as the film’s main villain. The familiar face of Henry Czerny also returns for Dead Reckoning Part One, who’s character Eugene Kittridge hasn’t been seen since the first Mission: Impossible film in 1996.
