Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg produce animated reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is an animated superhero film directed by Jeff Rowe and co-directed by Kyler Spears for Paramount Pictures. It serves as a reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film franchise and is based on the characters originally created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman. The film marks the directorial debut of Rowe, having previously written for such TV shows as Gravity Falls and Disenchantment. He also co-wrote the animated film, The Mitchells vs. the Machines, which received acclaim from the animation industry and won Best Screenplay by the Hollywood Critics Association. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem is produced by creative partners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg along with James Weaver. Rogen and Goldberg have previously collaborated on Superbad, Pineapple Express and Good Boys, just to name a few. The screenplay is written by Brendan O'Brien who previously worked on 2014's Neighbors and its sequel.
The Turtle brothers are voiced by Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo and Brady Noon as Raphael. Ayo Edebiri stars as April O'Neil. The rest of the ensemble cast includes Hannibal Buress as Genghis Frog, Rose Byrne as Leatherhead, John Cena as Rocksteady, Jackie Chan as Splinter, Ice Cube as Superfly, Natasia Demetriou as Wingnut, Giancarlo Esposito as Baxter Stockman, Post Malone as Ray Fillet, Rogen as Bebop, Paul Rudd as Mondo Gecko and Maya Rudolph as Cynthia Utrom.
