James Wan returns to direct Jason Momoa for Aquaman sequel
Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom is a superhero movie directed by James Wan for DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the direct sequel to 2018’s Aquaman and serves as the 15th and final entry in the DCEU (DC Extended Universe). Wan is best known for creating The Conjuring universe and co-creating the Saw and Insidious franchises. His previously directed Aquaman installment became the first DC movie to earn $1 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. Frequent Wan collaborator David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick wrote the screenplay for the sequel after co-writing the previous entry.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen reprises his role as Black Manta, the leader of Xebel, and Patrick Wilson also returns as Orm Marius, Arthur's half-brother and the previous king of Atlantis. Amber Heard portrays Mera, the princess of Xebel and daughter of King Nereus, with Dolph Lundgren portraying her father, King Nereus.
