Synopsis
A travel executive gets swept up in the excitement as she travels through Vietnam
Amanda Riley finds herself alone. After a surprise break-up, the professional travel executive decides to take on a new assignment and shake things up. She is sent undercover to Vietnam to learn about the tourist industry. In the process, she is captured by the spirit and sounds of the country and falls unexpectedly for her Vietnamese expat tour guide. The pair go rogue and visit stunning remote corners of the country, charming locals, and learn about love on the way.

Rachael Leigh Cook brings another new romcom to Netflix
Tourist's Guide to Love is a romantic comedy movie produced by Head First Productions and distributed by Netflix. The screenplay is written by the Vietnamese-American writer Eirene Donohue. Donohue uses her own travels in Vietnam as inspiration for the screenplay. She is joined by director Steven Tsuchida, who is known for directing episodes of Dear White People, Cobra Kai, and Resort to Love.
The cast of A Tourist's Guide to Love is led by Rachael Leigh Cook playing Amanda Riley. She is known for her roles in She’s All That, Robot Chicken, and Into the West. Cook takes the lead role in the movie and acts as a producer. A Tourist's Guide to Love marks her second collaboration with Netflix after she produced the movie Love Guaranteed. Scott Ly joins the cast as Sinh Thach, her expat romance. The pair are joined by Ben Feldman, Missi Pyle, Glynn Sweet, and Alexa Povah who make up the expanded cast. A Tourist’s Guide to Love was released exclusively on Netflix on April 21st, 2023.
