Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024 AD is the sequel to the original 1988 fantasy comedy horror film Beetlejuice, and is produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Tim Burton Productions. Tim Burton returns as director, after previously directed the first film. He returns alongside Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, whom he teamed up with to produce the hit Netflix series Wednesday. Danny Elfman, who composed the music for the original films, returns to score the sequel.
Michael Keaton reprises his role as the rambunctious ‘bio-exorcist’ from the netherworld, Betelgeuse. He is rejoined by Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, who reprise their roles as Lydia and Delia Deetz from the original film. Jenna Ortega, who stars in Wednesday, plays Lydia Deetz’s daughter. The rest of the cast includes Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci, the latter of whom plays Betelgeuse's wife.
