Synopsis
The warrior Echidna, Knuckles returns to protect Earth from a new threat
Knuckles is an impulsive and eccentric red Echidna who is making the planet Earth is new home. With his super strength and incredible speed Knuckles takes it upon himself to train the Deputy Sheriff, Wade Whipple. Meanwhile, an ex-associate of Dr Robotnik known as The Buyer is searching for Knuckles who is the key to his latest evil plan.

Knuckles Season 1 is a live-action television miniseries based on the video game series Sonic the Hedgehog published by Sega. The show is a spin-off from the Sonic the Hedgehog movies and is set between Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Knuckles Season 1 is created by John Whittington and Toby Ascher. Whittington is known for writing the movies The Lego Batman Movie, The Lego Ninjago Movie, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Ascher is credited as a producer on Sonic the Hedgehog and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Season 1 directors include Jeff Fowler, Ged Wright, Brandon Trost, Jorma Taccone, and Carol Banker.
Idris Elba stars in the lead role as Knuckles, reprising his role from the film series. He is joined by Adam Pally who voices the character Wade. The series also includes the likes of Julian Barratt, Scott Mescudi, Cary Elwes, Ellie Taylor, Rory McCann, Stockard Channing, and Edi Patterson. Ben Schwartz and Colleen O’Shaughnessey reprise their roles as Sonic and Tails in a guest star capacity. Knuckles Season 1 was released on the streaming service Paramount+ on April 26, 2024.
