Chakda ‘Xpress is an upcoming Indian sports drama film produced by Clean Slate Filmz for Netflix. The film is directed by Prosit Roy, known for his work on Pari and Paatal Lok. Screenwriter Abhishek Banerjee, who collaborated with Roy on Pari, writes the script for Chakda ‘Xpress. Pratik Shah is the cinematographer, having previously lent his talents to the series Jubilee and Kaafir. The film is inspired by the true story of Jhulan Goswami, a woman whose skill and persistence brought her to play for the Indian national cricket team and become one of the greatest bowlers of all time.
Anushka Sharma stars as Jhulan Goswami, one of the greatest cricketing heroes in India. Sharma previously featured in Pari, Sanju, and Qala. She is joined by Atul Sharma, who plays the Head of the International Cricket Council, and others.
