Synopsis
Wheel of Time Season 2 sees Rand tackling his true identity as the Dragon Reborn
After a showdown with the Dark One, Rand is struggling to come to terms with the revelation that he is the Dragon Reborn. The fate of the entire world now rests on the shoulders of a humble farm boy. The sorceresses must protect and instruct him as his power grows. Meanwhile, the Dark One remains unvanquished and as the Last Battle draws near the world stands on a knife’s edge.

Wheel of Time season 2 brings high fantasy back to the small screen with Rafe Judkins
Wheel of Time season 2 is an action fantasy television show based on the novel series of the same name written by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson. The show is developed by Rafe Judkins who also takes the role of showrunner. Wheel of Time season 2 writers include Amanda Kate Shuman, Katherine B. McKenna, Dave Hill, Rohit Kumar, and Rammy Park among others. Sanaa Hamri serves as an executive producer as well as director of half the series.
The show stars award-winning British actress Rosamund Pike in the role of Moiraine Damodred. Daniel Henney portrays Lan Mandragoran. Josha Stradowski is back as Rand al’Thor. Marcus Rutherford plays Perrin Ayabrs while Madeleine Madden is Egwene al’Vere. Other returning cast members include Zoe Robins, Kate Fleetwood, Priyanka Bose, Sophie Okonedo, Hammed Animashaun, and Kate Alexander. Donal Finn stars as Mat Cauthon for the second season, replacing the previous actor Barney Harris. There is a host of new actors confirmed for new roles in the second season. Ceara Coveney plays Elayne Trakand. Ayoola Smart stars as Aviendha. Meera Syal and Natasha O’Keefe also star in important roles for Wheel of Time season 2. Wheel of Time season 2 was released on Amazon Prime Video on September 1st, 2023.
