Synopsis
The Second Crisis looms for the Galactic Republic as The Foundation enters a new phase
The work of mathematician and psycho-historian, Hari Seldon has so far been proven accurate. His model predicts the fall of the Galactic Empire and it has begun to crumble. Queen Sareth is plotting revenge from within by seeking to oust the ruling Cleons herself. The Foundation must face a mysterious new group, a colony of Mentalics with powerful psionic abilities that challenge Seldon’s psychohistory. The Second Crisis is underway as the Church of Seldon becomes a growing movement across the Outer Reach. These events converge and collide in the thrilling events of the fall of an Empire and the rise of resistance.

David S. Goyer brings the second season of the Isaac Asimov television show adaptation
Foundation Season 2 is a science fiction television series based on the stories of the same name by Isaac Asimov. The show is created by Josh Friedman and David S. Goyer for Apple TV+. Goyer, screenwriter of Man of Steel and The Dark Knight is the sole showrunner for season 2.
Foundation Season 2 features Jared Harris as Hari Seldon, a brilliant mathematician who seeks to predict the future. His protege, Gaal Dornick is played by Lou Llobell while Leah Harvey stars as Salvor Hardin. Lee Pace returns to play Brother Day, the Emperor of the Galactic Empire. Cassian Bilton plays his successor, Brother Dawn, while Terrence Mann takes on Brother Dusk, the now-retired Emperor. Laura Birn plays an ancient android Eto Demerzel. New cast members for Season 2 include Isabella Laughland as the religious official, Brother Constant while Kulvinder Ghir takes on the role of Poly Verisof, the High Cleric. Ella-Rae Smith is Queen Sareth who seeks vengeance while Holt McCallany joins the cast as Warden Jaegger Fount. Dmitri Leonidas, Ben Daniels, Mikael Persbrandt, Rachel House, and Nimrat Kaur round out the expanded cast. Foundation Season 2 was released on Apple TV+ on July 14th, 2023.
