The Boondocks (2022)

The Freemans are a modern black family living in a white suburb where the irony and hypocrisy of American life manifests itself again and again through comic and absurd scenarios. The family repeatedly clashes with Uncle Ruckus, the black leader of the local community government. The situation isn’t helped by the fact that Uncle Ruckus is filled with internalized anti-blackness.The original series first appeared in 2005 and is now back for a reboot with many more hilarious antics and adventures. The Boondocks was created by Aaron McGruder, who is also the show's head writer. The Boondocks was originally a syndicated comic strip that ran from 1996 to 2006.
