Synopsis
Detective Danner is called onto the scene of a new unsolvable mystery
Just as a happy couple is celebrating the taking of their vows, the unsuspecting groom is murdered in cold blood. All of the guests attending the ceremony are suddenly suspects. Detective Danner needs the sleuthing support of Zoe and Aniq to uncover the truth and find out who murdered this man at his own wedding. The trio have no choice but to interview the guests and compile the accounts of friends, business associates, grieving family members and lovers. As each tells their story of the fateful weekend, the details begin to line up and the identity of the murderer is revealed.

Tiffany Hadish is back to lead this Apple TV+ detective comedy show
The Afterparty Season 2 is a murder mystery comedy television series. It is created by Christopher Miller, one half of the filmmaking duo that also includes Phil Lord. Christopher Miller was the sole showrunner for the first season but is joined by writer and comedian Anthony King as co-showrunner for Season 2. The second season of the show contains ten episodes, two more than the first season. The show is produced by Lord Miller Productions for Apple TV+.
Season 2 of The Afterparty sees actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish reprise her role as Detective Danner. She is once again joined by Sam Richardson playing Aniq and Zoe Chao as Zoe. The expanded cast sees roles for Elizabeth Perkins, Poppy Lui, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu, and Ken Jeong amongst others. The Afterparty Season 2 was released exclusively on Apple TV+ on July 12th, 2023.
