The live-action Fallout series doesn’t directly adapt the storyline from any of the existing video games. It is an original story set in the same universe and timeline as the games. The events of the series are considered canon.

The Fallout series is set in the year 2296. The whole series of the events in the Fallout franchise is centered on the Great War, a nuclear conflict between China and the US which occurs in the year 2077. The timeline of the video games finishes in the year 2287, which means the television series picks up six years after the end of the video game timeline.

Fallout is led by English actress Ella Purnell, best known for her work on the television show Yellowjackets.
