Synopsis
After a one-day nuclear war, everything in America changed
In a retrofuturist world, there’s only the present day to live for. After a catastrophic nuclear conflict, survivors were protected by specially-made Vaults. In the aftermath, as people emerge again they witness a changed planet and find new threats everywhere.

Fallout Season 1 is a post-apocalyptic television show produced by Amazon Studios for Amazon Prime Video. The show is based on the popular video game franchise of the same name developed by Bethesda Game Studios who act as producers for the show. It is created by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan. Joy is known for having written on television shows, Pushing Daisies and Burn Notice. She made her feature film directorial debut in 2021 with Reminiscence. Fallout Season 1 sees her once again writing alongside director and screenwriter Jonathan Nolan. The pair are responsible for having co-created, written, and directed the HBO series Westworld together. Geneva Roberton-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the showrunners of the series.
English actress Ella Purnell takes a leading role in the show. She is known for the movies, Churchill and Army of the Dead, as well as her main role playing Jackie in the show Yellowjackets. She is joined in the cast by award-winning actor Walton Goggins who has a variety of acting credits to his name including roles in Justified and The Shield. The wider cast includes roles for Twin Peaks veteran, Kyle MacLachlan as well as Xelia Mendes-Jones, Aaron Moten, Mike Doyle, and Moises Arias. Fallout Season 1 was released on Amazon Prime Video on April 10, 2024.
