Synopsis
The origins of the mysterious Bene Gesserit and their prophecies for the universe
10,000 years before the events of Dune, the Harkonnen sisters Valya and Tula face a terrifying threat to their way of life. In order to defeat it and defend themselves, they form a sisterhood. The Bene Gesserit brings together women and witches to train in the magical arts. This is the story of their formation and resilience in the face of great evil.

Dune: Prophecy Season 1 is a science fiction drama television series based on the books Dune by Frank Herbert and Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Dune: Prophecy Season 1 features Alison Schapker as the sole showrunner, writer, and executive producer of the series. Schapker is a writer and producer known for her work on Alias, Fringe, and Altered Carbon. Anna Foerster, director of series such as Westworld, Carnival Row, and Jessica Jones, is confirmed to be directing multiple episodes. Dune: Prophecy Season 1 features executive producers such as Diane Ademu-John, Jon Spaihts, Scott Z. Burns, Brian Herbert, Kim Herbert, and Denis Villeneuve.
Dune: Prophecy Season 1 stars Emily Watson and Olivia Williams in the lead roles. The pair play sisters Valya and Tula Harkonnen. Watson is a multi-award-winning English actress known for her roles in movies such as Angela’s Ashes, Synecdoche, New York, The Theory of Everything, and Punch-Drunk Love. Williams has starred in the likes of Anna Karenina, Victoria and Abdul, and The Father. The pair are joined by Mark Strong who plays Emperor Javicco Corrino; Jade Anouka starring as Sister Theodosia; Chris Mason as Keiran Atreides; Travis Fimmel plays Desmond Hart; Aofie Hinds is Sister Emeline; Jodhi May plays Empress Natalya; Sarah-Sofie Boussnina stars as Princess Ynez. Shalom Brune-Franklin, Josh Heuston, and Edward Davis all take on recurring roles. Famous Indian actress Tabu plays the role of the intelligent and strong willed Sister Francesca.
