Furious 7 (2015) put James Wan in the director’s chair after a long stint by Justin Lin. Perhaps best known for his horror franchises like Insidious and The Conjuring, Wan helmed one of the most successful films in the Fast & Furious franchise – grossing a massive $1.5 billion worldwide. A decade later, Furious 7 remains a critical hit and fan favorite, largely thanks to its memorable cast. As the film celebrates its 10th anniversary, here’s what the Furious 7 cast is doing now and where to stream some of their best movies and TV shows on streaming platforms like Apple TV Plus and Max.
Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto)
Vin Diesel is synonymous with the Fast & Furious franchise. After debuting as Dom Toretto in 2001’s The Fast and the Furious, Diesel has appeared in every series entry except 2 Fast 2 Furious. While it’s arguably his best-known role, Dom Toretto marks only a small part of his filmography. Thanks to his physique and “macho” charisma, Diesel and action movies go hand in hand. Outside of voicing Groot for the Guardians of the Galaxy series, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, he headlined Bloodshot and made a return to his other notable action franchise xXx, with XXX: Return of Xander Cage.
Paul Walker (Brian O’Conner)
Paul Walker tragically passed away in 2013. Furious 7 marks his final film role, and the movie ends with a touching tribute to the actor. Since then, the franchise has continued to honor Paul Walker with callbacks and a cameo from his daughter, Meadow Walker, in Fast X. Walker’s history of charity work continues with The Paul Walker Foundation. Led by Meadow, the organization seeks to empower and educate young people about the importance of ocean conservation. With Brian O’Conner still involved in the Fast & Furious universe, Walker remains a part of the franchise that made him a star.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (Luke Hobbs)
Much like co-star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson has stayed close to the action genre since Furious 7. The wrestler-turned-actor finally fulfilled a long-time dream of playing a DC superhero in DC’s Black Adam in 2022, while also delving into action comedy with projects like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jungle Cruise, and Red Notice. Johnson also gathered a plethora of younger fans after voicing fan-favorite Maui in Moana and turning “You’re Welcome” into a viral song. Still, Johnson finds himself back in the Fast & Furious universe. Along with appearing in ensuing franchise entries, his chemistry with Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw earned the duo a spinoff movie titled Hobbs & Shaw.
Jason Statham (Deckhard Shaw)
Jason Statham’s Shaw became an immediate fan-favorite after his Furious 7 introduction. In addition to appearing alongside Johnson in Hobbs & Shaw, Statham reprised his role in The Fate of the Furious, F9, and Fast X. Like many of his Fast & Furious co-stars, Statham’s talent for action roles kept him planted firmly in the genre. After starring in the campy shark movie The Meg, Statham joined forces with Guy Ritchie in Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre before returning to the role of Jonas Taylor in Meg 2: The Trench. More recently, Statham has produced and starred in two of David Ayer’s action thrillers, The Beekeeper and A Working Man.
Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz)
Michelle Rodriguez’s Fast & Furious roots stretch back to 2001’s The Fast and the Furious. After Furious 7, she returned in F9 and Fast X. While Rodriguez has appeared in numerous projects since Furious 7, her most considerable acting credit outside the franchise is Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. There, she stars as Holga Kilgore, a barbarian with a complicated past who sets out on a dangerous mission to retrieve the daughter of her bard friend (Chris Pine). Although Dungeons & Dragons was a box office flop, the film garnered praise from critics and has been more successful on streaming services. With Rodriguez’s performance earning compliments, Fast & Furious fans are eager for Letty’s return in Fast 11.
Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce)
Tyrese Gibson first entered the Fast & Furious scene as Brian O’Conner’s best friend in 2 Fast 2 Furious. Since then, he’s played a significant (and comical) part in the series, reprising the role of Roman in The Fate of the Furious, F9, and Fast X after his Furious 7 return. Going beyond comedy, Gibson showed off his dramatic acting chops in Black and Blue before appearing in the meme-inspiring superhero film Morbius. Afterward, he starred in The System, a critically divisive action thriller helped by Gibson’s earnest performance as a former Marine who turns to crime to help save his daughter’s life.
Ludacris (Tej Parker)
Since his introduction in 2 Fast 2 Furious, Ludacris’ automotive genius has been a franchise mainstay. After Furious 7, he continued that trend by reprising the role of Tej Parker in sequels The Fate of the Furious, F9, and Fast X. While Ludacris’ rap career remains strong, he still makes time for acting roles outside of Fast & Furious. Perhaps most notably, Ludacris created and stars in the animated children’s series Karma’s World. Aimed at encouraging kids to stay true to themselves, Ludacris created the series for his oldest daughter, Karma.
Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto)
Jordana Brewster’s breakout role came in The Fast and the Furious, where she played Mia Toretto. As Dom’s sister and Brian O’Conner’s girlfriend (and later wife), Mia has an ongoing role in the series, which continued after Furious 7 with F9 and Fast X. Beyond the franchise, Brewster found a home on TV playing a psychologist on the Lethal Weapon series alongside Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans. In film, she has starred in horror and thriller offerings like Random Acts of Violence, Cellar Door, and Heart Eyes. With Mia set to return in Fast 11, fans hope she and Brian will have a proper heartfelt sendoff.
Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey)
Furious 7 also marked the debut of Nathalie Emmanuel’s Ramsey, a loner hacker who eventually becomes a member of Dom’s crew. In addition to appearing in The Fate of the Furious, F9, and Fast X, Emmanuel continued filming for Game of Thrones, where she served as Daenerys Targaryen’s trusted counselor, Missandei, until the series’ eighth and final season. Afterward, she starred in the heist comedy Army of Thieves, horror thriller The Invitation, and Francis Ford Coppola’s sci-fi epic Megalopolis.
Kurt Russell (Mr. Nobody)
Kurt Russell’s work has spanned numerous genres, so nobody was surprised when he popped up in Furious 7 as a mysterious government agent with ambiguous motives. Mr. Nobody appeared again in The Fate of the Furious and F9 before fizzling out to just a “mention” in Fast X. The same year Furious 7 released, Russell starred in Western thrillers Bone Tomahawk and The Hateful Eight. While The Christmas Chronicles saw him playing Santa Claus in 2018, 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood allowed him to join forces with Quentin Tarantino once again. Russell also jumped over to television with Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, where his son, Wyatt Russell, played the younger version of his character, Lee Shaw.
