Creature Commandos season 1 is the first season of the animated superhero TV show, Creature Commandos, produced by DC studios and Warner Bros Animation for Max. The show is based on JM DeMatteis and Pat Broderick 1980s DC comic book team, who were assembled in Weird War Tales #93.
The first season of Creature Commandos is the first title in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe (DCU), in what they are calling “Chapter 1: ‘Gods and Monsters’”. Viola Davis stars as FBI official Amanda Waller in Creature Commandos, reprising her role from Suicide Squad as she assembles the team of monsters. The team is made up of the Bride of Frankenstein (Indira Varma), Eric Frankenstein (David Harbour), Rick Flag Sr (Frank Grillo), Nina Mazursky (Zoë Chao), Dr Phosphorus (Alan Tudyk), and Weasel and GI Robot (both voiced by Sean Gunn). The Suicide Squad’s John Economos returns, played once more by Steve Agee, while newcomer Maria Bakalova voices Princess Ilana Rostovic.
