What to know
Creature Commandos is an animated superhero TV show produced by DC studios and Warner Bros Animation for Max. The show is based on the DC comics characters known as the Creature Commandos, made by JM DeMatteis and illustrated by Pat Broderick for the 1980s comic Weird War Tales #93. Creature Commandos is the first show created in James Gunn and Peter Safran's DC Universe (DCU).
The Creature Commandos are a group of elite, black ops monsters. The team is made up by the scientist Bride of Frankenstein (Indira Varma), Rick Flag Sr (Frank Grillo), Doctor Phosphorus (Alan Tudyk), Eric Frankenstein (David Harbour), Nina Mazursky (Zoë Chao), and Weasel and GI Robot (both voiced by Sean Gunn). Viola Davis returns to her role as the FBI official Amanda Waller, who first assembles the Creature Commandos into a cohesive team. Other key characters include Princess Ilana Rostovic (Maria Bakalova), and ARGUS agent John Economos (Steve Agee).
