Kung Fu wunderkind Li Fong moves to New York City with his mother, leaving his life in Beijing behind. Struggling to adapt to his new life, Li Fong finds himself in fight after fight. Soon Li finds himself signed up for a karate competition but he needs training. His kung fu teacher Mr. Han suggests Daniel La Russo be his trainer to prepare him for a new form of martial arts.
The best action we’ve seen yet in the Karate Kid franchise
It’s Jackie Chan and Ralph Maccio. And they’re fighting people! I feel like that’s all you really need! The next chapter of the Karate Kid franchise has everything you love about the originals with fun, new twists and really, really exciting action. We had a great stunt team that wanted to make something that was fresh and new but in a way that calls back to the old beloved Hong Kong action movies. So the fighting in the film is fun and exciting and fast-paced, and I think it’s some of the best action we’ve seen yet in the Karate Kid franchise.
