Dan Gallagher is a lawyer in New York City. He’s happily married to Beth and they have a daughter together. But after he has a casual tryst with publishing editor Alex Forrest, whom he met through work, she becomes increasingly unhinged and begins to obsessively stalking him and his family.
Fatal Attraction Season 1 is the first season in the erotic psychological thriller series produced by Paramount Pictures. The series is adapted from the original film from 1987, also titled Fatal Attraction. Alexandra Cunningham is the showrunner and executive producer for the series, and co-writes alongside Kevin J. Hynes. Silver Tree — who directed episodes of Shameless, You, and Dead to Me — directs the series throughout. The series takes a look at the themes of infidelity, mental health, and patriarchal control and explores them through a 2023 lens.
Lizzy Caplan plays the unhinged publishing editor Alex Forrest. Joshua Jackson portrays Dan Gallagher, the lawyer concerned for the safety of his family. Amanda Peet plays Dan’s wife, Beth Gallagher.
