Synopsis
When Fontaine discovers a government-run lab experimenting on Black people, he and his friends decide to take matters into their own hands
When Fontaine wakes up whole and healthy after being shot dead the day before, he and his friends Slick Charles and Yo-Yo try to figure out what happened. What they find leads them to uncover a vast government-run lab running experiments on the Black population. Although Fontaine at first feels like a pawn in their game, he decides to fight back for the good of his neighbourhood.

John Boyega, Jamie Foxx, and Teyonnah Parris team up for Juel Taylor's directorial debut on Netflix
They Cloned Tyrone is a comedy sci-fi mystery film produced by Macro Media for Netflix. Juel Taylor directs in his feature-film debut, after writing for Creed II and Space Jam: A New Legacy. Taylor also co-wrote the script for They Cloned Tyrone with Tony Rettenmair. Ken Sang is the principal cinematographer, who previously lent his talents to the filming of Deadpool 2, Project X, and Love, Death & Robots. Pierre Charles mixes the soundtrack, having previously worked with Juel Taylor on Space Jam: A New Legacy.
They Cloned Tyrone stars John Boyega as Fontaine, a drug dealer who gets killed only to be inexplicably resurrected. Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx plays Fontaine’s friend, Slick Charles, along with Teyonnah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk) as Yo-Yo. Kiefer Sutherland, who found fame through the American series 24, also appears in the film.
