Synopsis
A Finnish ex-commando’s solo mission to take down a Nazi platoon in the wilderness results in extravagant mayhem
In 1944 in the Finnish wilderness, the lone prospector Aatami Korpi strikes gold, quite literally. While bringing his haul to the nearest town, he is accosted by a brutal Nazi SS unit who try to steal his loot. Little do they know that Korpi was a legendary ex-commando known as ‘The Immortal’ in his days as a soldier — and still possesses a ruthless set of fighting skills. Intent on retrieving his gold, Korpi sets out on a one-man mission to destroy the SS unit and reclaim what is rightfully his.

Sisu is a Finnish historical action film produced by Stage 6 Films and distributed in the UK by Sony Pictures. The film is written and directed by Jalmari Helander, who is known for his work on Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale and Big Game. Sisu premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2022.
Sisu stars Jorma Tommila as Aatami Korpi, a gold prospector with lethal fighting skills. Aksel Hennie plays Bruno Helldorf, the brutal SS officer pursuing Aatami. They are joined by Jack Doolan as Wolf, Mimosa Willamo as Aino, and Onni Tommila as Schütze.
