Synopsis
A London firm blends magic and business in internship with sinister CEO
Paul Carpenter and Sophie Pettingel begin working as interns at J.W. Wells & Co., a secretive London firm, and soon realize their bosses are not your typical employers. The company's CEO, Humphrey Wells, and his right-hand man, Dennis Tanner, are using contemporary business techniques to revolutionize the world of magic but their motives are not entirely clear. As Paul and Sophie delve deeper into the inner workings of the organization, they uncover the true intentions of this enigmatic corporation.

The Portable Door is an upcoming fantasy-adventure film directed by Jeffrey Walker. It is adapted from the first book of the J.W. Wells & Co book series written by Tom Holt. Blanca Lista and Todd Fellman of The Jim Henson Company produced the film along with Story Bridge Films. The film’s screenplay is penned by Leon Ford.
The film stars Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz as Humphrey Wells. Sam Neil portrays Dennis Tanner while Patrick Gibson and Sophie Wilde play interns Paul Carpenter and Sophie Pentigel respectively. The rest of the cast includes Miranda Otto, Rachel House, Jessica De Gouw, and Chris Pang.
