James Cameron continues his juggernaut Avatar franchise with third entry
Avatar: Fire and Ash is an upcoming science-fiction film directed by James Cameron for 20th Century Studios. It is the direct sequel to Avatar: The Way of Water and third installment of the Avatar franchise. Cameron co-wrote the screenplay alongside married creative partners Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, who are writers on the subsequent Avatar films. The Avatar franchise remains one of the most financially successful franchises of all time, with the first entry being the highest-grossing film of all time and Avatar 2 secured at the number three spot at the time of writing.
The film boasts a star-studded cast featuring a remarkable lineup of veteran actors. Returning to the screen as the breathtaking roster of Na'vi characters includes Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, Sigourney Weaver as Kiri, Zoë Saldaña as Neytiri, Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, CCH Pounder as Mo'at, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Matt Gerald as Corporal Lyle Wainfleet, Oona Chaplin as Varang and David Thewlis.
In addition to the Na’vi are the human characters which consist of Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge, Dileep Rao as Dr. Max Patel, Joel David Moore as Dr. Norm Spellman, Edie Falco as General Frances Ardmore and Jemaine Clement as Dr. Ian Garvin.
