Tom Hardy, Jodie Comer and Austin Butler patch in for bike drama from Mud director
The Bikeriders is a drama film written and directed by Jeff Nichols for 20th Century Studios. Danny Lyon's 1967 photo-book of the same name served as inspiration for the film. Nichols is best known for writing and directing every film in his filmography which includes Shotgun Stories, Take Shelter, Mud, Midnight Special and Loving. Michael Shannon has appeared in every one of his films including The Bikeriders. Sarah Green, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Arnon Milchan serve as producers on the film.
Austin Butler leads The Bikeriders as Benny. He is best known for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in the titular 2022 biopic which earned him an Academy Award nomination. He is joined by Killing Eve star Jodie Comer who portrays Kathy. Tom Hardy stars as Johnny. He has appeared in a number of celebrated films including Inception, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk and Venom. He has also received an Academy Award nomination for 2015's The Revenant.
