After her first round of adventures at the Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams returns to solve another hair-raising riddle. With her peculiar parents in tow, Wednesday is set to uncover the identity of the Stalker with her growing psychic powers. But one mystery inevitably leads to another and even for a young psychic there are unforeseeable circumstances in the macabre world of the Addams Family.
Wednesday Season 2 is an upcoming supernatural comedy movie based on the character Wednesday Addams originally created by Charles Addams. Wednesday Season 2 is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar who handled the first season of Wednesday. Series star Jenna Ortega serves as a producer on the second season. Famous filmmaker Tim Burton acts as an executive producer.
Jenna Ortega stars as the titular lead in Season 2 after an acclaimed performance in the first season. She is joined by Catherine Zeta-Jones portraying her mother Morticia Addams and Luis Guzman playing her father Gomez Addams. Emma Myers stars as Enid Sinclair and Hunter Doohan is Tyler Galpin. Isaac Ordonez is Pugsley Addams while Fred Armisen plays Uncle Fester.
Hollywood icon Steve Buscemi stars as Barry Dort, the new principal of Nevermore Academy for the second season. Also joining is Christopher Lloyd, known for portraying Uncle Fester in the original Addams Family movie. Joanna Lumley stars in the role of Grandmama. Other new cast members for Season 2 include Billie Piper, Thandie Newton, Frances O'Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Joonas Suotamo, and Heather Matarazzo.
The second season of Wednesday is filmed on location in Ireland. Season 1 of the series was shot in Romania and the second season began filming in May 2024.
The character of Xavier from Wednesday Season 1 has been dropped for the second season. According to producer and lead star Jenna Ortega, Wednesday Season 2 is leaning into the horror aspect of the series and leaving the love triangle romance behind.
