Synopsis
A couple rekindle their marriage through exploits in espionage
True Lies Season 1 tells the story of a marriage that receives the most unlikely of boosts at a time when it needs it most. Helen, a language professor is growing increasingly tired of the monotonous life she lives. Her husband Harry, a computer consultant, is often away on business, leaving Helen bored and alone. The marriage is under great strain until the reveal that Harry is in fact an international spy for the U.S. intelligence agency. Free from the idea that Harry was being unfaithful, Helen is brought into the new reality of espionage and high-stakes international drama. Joining the team of spies, Helen gets up to speed quickly in order to join the fight and take down the crime syndicates threatening the world.

Director Mat Nix breathes new life into a 90s classic
True Lies Season 1 is an action television series based on the 1994 film of the same name. The original film was directed by legendary Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron, who executive produces the television reboot. True Lies Season 1 is created by American writer, producer, and director Matt Nix. Nix is responsible for the USA Network television show Burn Notice and the Fox hit series The Good Guys. Nix also wrote and created The Gifted. The series is directed by filmmaker and television director, Anthony Hemmingway.
The television show features Steve Howey as Harry Tasker opposite Ginger Gonzaga as Helen Tasker; the couple at the heart of the story. The wider cast includes Erica Hernandez, Omar Miller, Mike O’Gorman, Annabella Didion, and Lucas Jaye. True Lies Season 1 was released on 1st March 2023 on CBS.
