Synopsis
In this adult fairytale mysterious forces bring chaos to the lives of a young couple
Apollo and Emma are a young couple with a newborn baby living in an alternative version of New York City. But when Emma falls foul of a supernatural curse, the couple are torn apart and Apollo is left alone. Searching desperately through the unrecognizable streets of New York, Apollo must face the forces of magic and mystery if he is to discover what happened to his wife and child.

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel is the mind behind The Changeling Season 1 with LaKeith Stanfield in the lead role
The Changeling Season 1 is a horror-fantasy television series produced by Annapurna Television for Apple TV+. The Changeling Season 1 is based on the novel of the same name written by Victor LaValle. The show is written and created by Venom writer, Kelly Marcel. The directing of the show is handled by Melina Matsoukas, a filmmaker known for her works Queen & Slim and the TV show Insecure. Jonathan van Tulleken, Dana Gonzales, and Slick Naim are all counted among the directors for the first season.
The Changeling stars LaKeith Stanfield, an actor known for his roles in the movies Get Out, Sorry to Bother You, and Judas and the Black Messiah. He stars in The Changeling Season 1 in the lead role of Apollo. Playing opposite him as his onscreen partner is Clark Back starring as Emma. Adina Porter plays Apollo’s mother, Lillian Kagwa, while Samuel T. Herring makes his acting debut as the character William Wheeler. Jared Abrahamson, Malcolm Barrett, and Amirah Vann are all taking recurring roles in Season 1. The Changeling Season 1 was released on September 8th, 2023 on Apple TV+.
