Synopsis
The early adventures of John and his vulgar best friend Ted
John is a teenager who hasn’t yet started to live out the reality of teenage life. Shy and nerdy, John needs a friend to help him loosen up and Ted is the perfect candidate. His foul-mouthed bear friend joins him at high school and the pair go wild. Between all their mischief and illicit exploits, the pair form a bond of friendship that will last forever.

Seth McFarlane brings Ted back to life in a prequel TV series
Ted Season 1 is a comedy television show written, directed, and created by Seth McFarlane. Known as the creator of Family Guy and American Dad, McFarlane also wrote and directed the other movies in the Ted franchise. Ted Season 1 is a prequel set before the events of Ted. Alongside McFarlane, the writers for Ted Season 1 include Paul Corrigan, Brad Walsh, Dana Gould, Jon Pollack, and Julius Sharpe.
Ted Season 1 stars Seth McFarlane voices the main character Ted. He is joined by Max Burkholder who stars as John Bennett, the role that Mark Wahlberg played in Ted and Ted 2. Alanna Ubach and Scott Grimes play Susan and Matty Bennett while Giorgia Whigham stars as Blaire. Ted Season 1 was released on Peacock on January 11, 2024.
