The mystery of Lumon continues to unravel as Mark, Helly, Irving and Dylan deal with the fresh revelations that left them spinning. Mrs Cobel and Milchek return to try and restore order and discipline to the world of Lumon. Helly must face the consequences of her Eagen heritage as her innie finally sees the life she has outside the bounds of the workplace. Mark on the other hand is bringing the life of his innie closer to the outside world as he realizes that his partner, Gemma, who he long-thought was dead, is actually working for Lumon. The members of Lumon's MDR department have much still to learn about the company as they search for answers.
Severance Season 2 is the follow-up to the highly acclaimed first season of the dystopian sci-fi drama television series Severance. Straddling the genre boundaries of psychological thriller and black comedy, the series was created by Dan Erickson and is directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle.
Severance Season 2 sees the return of creator Dan Erickson and director Ben Stiller. Adam Scott and Britt Lower both return as Mark and Helly with Zach Cherry and John Turturro reprising the roles of Dylan and Irving respectively. Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, Tramell Tillman and Dichen Lachman all return to continue the story.
The second season of the series features a selection of new cast members. These include Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, Merritt Wever, John Noble, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Stefano Carannante, Robby Benson, and Alia Shawkat.
Severance Season 2 suffered a number of setbacks in production. The 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes brought production on the second season to a halt after it began filming in October 2022. The show was also delayed by creative differences between co-showrunners Dan Erickson and Mark Friedman.
