Synopsis
In Lupin Season 3 the gentleman thief returns
Inspired by the stories of Arsene Lupin, Assane Diop styles himself on the Frenchman who was known as a master of deception and trickery. The righteous robber begins the third part of his story on the run. Having publicly exposed the crimes of the wicked and wealthy Hubert Pellegrini, Lupin is in hiding. Pellegrini looks to be facing a serious stretch behind bars and yet most rich villains find inventive ways of evading justice. Having left behind his son, Raoul, and his ex-partner, Claire, Lupin will need to find a way to protect them in his absence. With the sartorial-minded swindler set for a new batch of adventures, expect heists galore and not a trace of a fingerprint.

Lupin Part Three brings Omar Sy back as the titular lead
Lupin Season 3, styled as Part Three, is a French mystery thriller series produced by Gaumont Television and distributed by streaming service Netflix. The show is created by George Kay and Francois Uzan with acclaimed director Louis Leterrier signed on to direct Part Three. Leterrier is best known for his action work having helmed The Transporter, The Incredible Hulk and Now You See Me.
Part Three of Lupin continues the trend of five-episode seasons with the titular character portrayed by Omar Sy. Lupin is a pseudonym of Assane Diop, who is a self-styled ‘gentleman thief’ in the vein of Arsene Lupin, the character produced by writer Maurice LeBlanc. Ludivine Sagnier portrays Lupin’s ex-partner Claire and Etan Simon reprises his role as their son Raoul. Soufiane Guerrab also continues his role as detective Youssef Guedira who is loosely based on Ganimard, another character from the mind of writer Maurice LeBlanc. Part Three is set to mark a fresh start for the show with the introduction of a variety of new characters and new emotional stakes around which the show revolves. Lupin Part Three was released on Netflix on October 5, 2023.
