When Winston Gooze, a janitor with a terminal illness, falls into a vat of toxic chemicals, he is transformed into the Toxic Avenger. Deformed and imbued with new strength, Winston sets out on a mission to help those in need while getting back at the corporate overlords who did him wrong.
The Toxic Avenger is an upcoming superhero splatter horror-comedy movie produced by Legendary Pictures. Macon Blair is the writer and director of The Toxic Avenger. He is best known for the movie, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore. The movie is produced by Legendary Pictures and Troma Entertainment with The Toxic Avenger franchise creator Lloyd Kaufman also serving as a producer of the movie.
The Toxic Avenger is the fifth installment overall in the Toxic Avengers franchise. The movie has much of the same storyline as the 1984 original movie of the same name. Star of the movie Peter Dinklage however stated that the movie is not a remake but rather a continuation of the same style of 'guerilla filmmaking'.
Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) stars as janitor Winston Gooze, who transforms into the Toxic Avenger after falling into a pit of chemicals. Jacob Tremblay joins him as Winston’s stepson Wade, while Taylour Paige plays the investigative reporter JJ Doherty. Kevin Bacon joins in the fun as the movie’s primary villain, corporate head Bob Garbinger, while Elijah Wood plays Bob’s brother and henchman, Fritz Garbinger. The cast is rounded out by David Yow, Julia Davis, Johnny Coyne, Sarah Niles, and Jane Levy.
