Colman Domingo is one of the best actors of our generation, but if you want to get a taste of his range, then A24’s Sing Sing is a must-watch. Based on real stories, but unlike many Hollywood biopics or adaptations, it’s clear that this isn’t trying to capitalize on pain. The story delivers one of the most vulnerable depictions of why acting, plays, and art matter so deeply, making it tailor-made for people who find themselves drawn to stories when everything else around them is dreary. It’s a gorgeous movie that showcases why it’s so important for men to be vulnerable. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and your heart will feel so full that it’ll leave you speechless for a while.
