After appearing in the Mickey Mouse Club and numerous iconic Canadian TV programs, the talented Canadian made his film debut (not counting 1996’s Frankenstein and Me) in a supporting role as Alan Bosley in 2000’s Remember The Titans. After appearing in such titles as The Believer, Murder by Numbers, The Slaughter Rule and The United States of Leland, Gosling’s fame skyrocketed following the release of the 2004 romantic drama, The Notebook. He starred in two comedy-centric films in 2014 and 2015 with The Big Short and The Nice Guys respectively.

In 2016, he earned his second Oscar nomination for Best Actor with his performance as Sebastian Wilder in the romantic musical La La Land. He received critical acclaim in 2017 starring as Officer K in the Blade Runner prequel, Blade Runner 2049. That same year he appeared in the Terrence Malick experimental romantic drama, Song to Song. He portrayed real-life astronaut Neil Armstrong in 2018’s First Man which reunited him with his La La Land director, Damien Chazelle, and starred with Chris Evans and his Blade Runner 2049 co-star, Ana de Armas, in the Netflix original The Gray Man in 2022. He received his third Oscar nomination for 2023’s existential comedy Barbie which spearheaded the notion that you are “Kenough.”
